ACCORDIONS PLAYING IRISH DANCE MUSIC

These painting are all about the many years Chris and I spent dancing to spine-tingling Irish music. …lots of it accordion-played.

See Artist Statement below images.

These were super wonderful years of great friendships, sharing it all with Chris, fancy dancing.   We took ten trips to the West of Ireland for even MORE dancing and playing.  I still leap to my feet when I hear reels and jigs.   One of the greatest festivals is the Willie Clancy Summer School.

For some of this time I was learning to play Irish dance music on the accordion.  I bought my accordion, WW II, vintage, from a dulse gatherer in the town of Quilty, County Clare.
